Real Wedding :: Erin & David :: 10.17.09

Erin and David were married in October in Minnesota. I had so much fun working with Erin on all the stationery details for her wedding in Minnesota. We worked completely over phone and email and it worked just as well as if we had met in person. We started by creating a custom monogram design and table names — that included Bob Dylan songs. Erin loved them so much that she decided to have us do her invitations, programs and place cards too! How fun! Thanks to Erin for sharing all of these photos — isn’t the picture of Erin and David above so cute too! Enjoy!

Purple Paisely

This is a brand new save the date design and I’m sure it is going to be popular! Megan (the bride) is actually friends with one of my “crew”. Kaitlin, my master assembly artist, is Megan’s sorority big sister and we’ve been itching to design the stationery for her wedding! So, when Megan called me and said she really wanted a paisley design in purple, I was off and running. This new patterned cardstock is a great addition to the design and the bold paisley elements on the right side really pop off the card. Of course, this design can be created in any color or colors — can’t wait to hear what Megan is thinking for her invite! Stay tuned…

Banded Together

A lot of people ask me if we “only do pocket invitations” and the answer is a big, fat, “NO!” Everything we do is custom, so we love to come up with new designs to fit the needs of our clients. This is a fun new look that I’m sure will become popular. Heather met with me at the studio and brought her save the date design as inspiration for her invitations. She knew she didn’t want a pocket, but liked the idea of the organized insert cards. Well, we came up with this pretty invite that is a flat panel, but has a wide satin ribbon band that runs around the back and can hold your response set and any insert cards. Cute and functional! Love it! We also design a custom corner flourish, complete with “hidden” new last initial. Enjoy!

Poppin’ Polka Dots

These invitations for Kristen and Michael were an instant favorite in our studio…because they are pretty, of course, but also because they include our company colors and have polka dots! We used a watermelon pocket, lime green backing and white ribbon to wrap it all up. The polka dot design has been popular and I just love the monogram at the top of the invite on the inside. We included a small three dot design on the insert cards to keep with the same colors and feel of the rest of the invite. Enjoy!

Wedding in a Week Pro Pics

As most of you know, Allison Barnhill Designs provided the stationery for Baltimore’s Wedding in a Week 2010. Teaira and Arthur were the lucky couple who won a wedding worth $50,000 and had the big day televised on Fox 45 Morning News this past Friday morning. After a whirlwind planning adventure that only lasted one week…and voting by TV viewers on the dress, menu, venue and honeymoon, the couple said “I DO!” in grand style at the 1840′s Ballroom.

So many wonderful vendors contributed their time and expertise to the big day. Up Do’s for I Do’s did the bride’s make up and hair. Sweet Dreams Studio took the awesome pictures below. You might have seen Patti from Patti Kake on TV — her cake was gorgeous! The flowers were provided by Flora Designs…beautiful. There were so many more vendors that contributed, but I must give a special “shout out” to Diana Venditto from Eventi Planning, who braved a blizzard, a wedding date change and lots of other obstacles to make Teaira and Arthur’s dream wedding come to life. Looking forward to working with you again!

Without further rambling on my part, here are some pictures of the big day. Hopefully, I’ll be able to share more detail shots of our work soon too! Enjoy!
