Totally Tagged

I’m so excited to share Sarah and Mark’s invitation design. First of all, the colors…oh, the colors…chocolate, clover green and a pop of hot pink…how can you not love that!?! And, then the overall design…it’s a flat panel invitation with three layers and then we added a custom monogram tag and ribbon band around the invitation, which slides off to reveal the full invitation. What is great about this invitation, is that you can slide your response set and other insert cards under the ribbon band on the back of the invite, so it’s clean, pretty and contained for your guests. So, tag…you’re it! Enjoy!

Real Wedding – Amanda & Patrick – 06.20.09

I was saving this real wedding until the Olympics started…why you might ask? Well, Amanda is from Canada and Patrick is American. So, when they got married, they decided to embrace their two cultures in red, white and blue fashion! We designed a custom monogram with the flags of Canada and USA and even their tables had flags…and red/white and blue bows adorned the ceremony area! This wedding took place at Celebrations at the Bay, which is on the water, hence why you see the anchor on some of the accessories too! We had the pleasure of designing their fan programs — perfect for an outdoor June wedding, table names, place cards, menu cards and of course, their invitations! Enjoy!

Baltimore Bridal Show Wrap Up

Whew! What a long weekend…and Monday! Sorry, I didn’t post yesterday, but I had 7 meetings…eek! So, here is the scoop…The Balitmore Bridal Show was definitely a success. We loved meeting all of the brides, grooms, friends and family that came to our booth on Saturday evening and Sunday. And, we are looking forward to working with a lot of you. We got to meet the bride from our Wedding in a Week promotion. And, we even go to meet one of the runner up couples…so sweet! Many of our favorite friends and vendors were at the show, so it was nice to catch up and network a bit.

We also were asked by Intrigue Design & Decor to create menus and place cards for their booth tablescape. Sarah at Intrigue gave me free reign on the design…just told me the colors and to think “out of the box”. Well, I think we delivered. I just LOVED their entire booth design and thought our paper and their decor came together perfectly.

Below are some pictures of our booth and the Intrigue/Historic Events booth.

Love this new save the date design for Jessie and Mike! When Jessie came into the studio she actually liked two of my previous designs and wanted to incorporate them in to one save the date. Sure, why not?!?! Obviously, the wedding colors are a bright passion pink and black. This invite really gives the guests the fell of a fun and festive wedding…and they will definitely know the date…10.10.10! How many of you are getting married on this very popular date? Enjoy!

Lighthouse Love

I’ve been working with Kristin for months…designing her save the date and the perfect invitation for her wedding at The Ritz in Key Biscayne, Florida. When I first me with Kristin, she knew exactly what she wanted…me to hand sketch the Key Biscayne lighthouse. She had pulled together lots of pictures of it for me to use as inspriation…but really loved the one with the lighthouse and palm trees.

So, pulled out my “special pencils” for sketching and went to work! Once the sketch is complete, I scan it and then can digitally change the colors of the sketch to match the invitation. So, in this case, I changed the image from the pencil color to a warm light brown. This color matches perfectly with the sand metallic pocket, raspberry pearl accents and natural raffia wrap.

Kristin’s mom picked up these invitations yesterday and I hope she is having fun stuffing and stamping these beauties, while the blizzard bears down on us in Annapolis! Enjoy!
