Jessica and Matt were married on December 30th of last year in downtown Annapolis at St. Anne’s Church and their reception was held at the Calvert House. We had the pleasure of designing most of the stationery for their wedding including save the dates, invitations, programs, favors and signs. I was so excited to get these great pictures from their big day from one of my fav photographers, Wendy Hickok. While the planning of this wedding might have had it’s twists and turns — including a last minute change in wedding date due to the groom’s military schedule — the day was beautiful! Best Wishes to Jessica and Matt!

Sneak Peek at New Designs
So, as some of you might now, it’s snowing like crazy in Annapolis, Maryland this weekend. We were at 15 inches this morning, but I have a feeling we are nearing 20-24 inches by now. Whew! Needless to say, I am snowed in at my house and taking advantage of some vary rare “free time”. Luckily the creative juices have coordinated with the free time and voila…new designs! I’m so excited about these great new ideas and just couldn’t wait to share some teasers with you. Hope everyone is staying warm, safe and enjoying their free time too! Enjoy!

Wishing for Spring
So, the girls and I are sitting in the studio today game-planning for the weekend…and this “historic snow” we are supposed to get. Our big Baltimore Bridal Show was cancelled and rescheduled for next weekend. So, we are rescheduling meetings with brides, packing up work to take home with us and generally grumbling at the world. And, we are wishing for Spring!!!
Caitlin and Timothy’s invitations have really helped brighten up our day and have us thinking of sunny, warm days with April showers and May flowers! I met with Caitlin a few months ago and designed a custom magnet using their engagement photos. At the same time, we talked about a bright and light pocket design that incorporated a light lemon yellow and light green color scheme. After a few variations of a swirl design, we came up with the final design in a delicate peach color. I’m so excited about how these turned out and when Caitlin picked them up yesterday, she was so happy! Awh!!! Enjoy!
Bright and Cheery
Jaclyn and Kyle are getting married this June at the Naval Academy Chapel. We’ve been working with them for awhile now…doing custom magnet save the dates a few months ago and now onto their custom pocket invitations. When we first started talking, Jaclyn and Kyle were going with caribbean blue and light yellow, but as time went on, they switched to caribbean blue and red! I must say that I really think this color combination really pops and I know it will be a hot combo for 2010. Enjoy!

Rich Regalia
Monica contacted me just a few weeks ago wanted custom invitations for her wedding. She wanted a classic look, but with a modern touch and to include a splash of deep red. While Monica was in the studio, she fell in love with the ecru micah regalia cardstock (EnvelopmentsĀ®) and wanted to incorporate that into the invitation. So, we used a gatefold design in the patterned cardstock that opened up to reveal their wedding invtation. We also included Punjabi text and some details into the invite panel to represent their culture and heritage. The invite is finished with a scarlet satin ribbon and monogram tag. Oh, and the envelope even had part of the regalia design on to the front of the mailing envelope. Love it! Enjoy!
