We’re on fire…

…or it could be that our invitation is sitting on a fire hydrant in these photos. Either way, this beautiful invitation for Jennifer and David is hot! I love the use of the bright raspberry and poppy colors. Jennifer had already seen the corner design previously and knew she wanted it on her invite too. I just love how it all came together. And, it didn’t hurt that we had a beatiful day last week to photograph her invite. Hope you like it too! Enjoy!

Sand and Sea

Love this pretty invitation for Michaela and Scott! This is a flat panel style invitation with a sand colored metallic backing and ecru micha top layer. It is finished with a navy blue satin ribbon band and monogram tag. Their insert cards can be slid behind the ribbon band on the back, which holds the insert cards in place during mailing. Elegant and pretty! Enjoy!

Anchors Abound!

We’re so excited about this very popular pocketfold design. A few years ago, we designed this for a couple who got married here in Annapolis. Since that time, we’ve had a few people use the same style and Anne saw this invite on Etsy and loved it! We changed the green color from a celery to clover and it was perfect for their wedding! And, there are more versions of this anchor style to come! Enjoy!

The other purple for 2010…

…is navy blue and green. For as many purple brides that we have this year, we have an equal amount of girls going with a blue and green theme. For most it is a navy and clover, but we have had a few bright blues with light lime colors too. This invite has a very classic and formal look, but incorporates Lauren and Christian’s colors perfectly. Enjoy!

Announcing…Stylish Duo Designs

It all started with a chat on Facebook with Jennifer Gillespie from Calligraphy by Jennifer. One night, while talking about a mutual client, Jennifer mentioned that we should collaborate on something soon. I agreed, whole-heartedly, and send her a few quick pictures of an idea I had for combining both of our arts into one invitation. After a flurry of chats and emails, we were rolling…it seems we’ve put this new line together so quickly…so exciting!

So, I’m proud to announce…Stylish Duo Designs…two artists…one style. Stylish Duo Designs is a couture line of custom invitations that combine hand calligraphy and traditional invitation design to create a new and striking way to invite guests to your big day! Every suite has hand-lettered first names, beautifully written by Jennifer Gillespie and combined with printed text in a variety of layouts, designed by Allison Barnhill.

Below are pics of the current styles and layouts for the designs. As always, we can customize anything to fit your wedding, so feel free to email us with questions, ideas or for a quote.
