All shades of purple are hot this year…and this pocket shows how you can incorporate shades of purple into your invitation in a classy and very subtle way. Emily and Dan met with me a few months ago and we tossed around two ideas — one was an invite that looked like an antique novel, since their reception is in a library in Minnesota. While I love to push the design envelope, so to speak, I was happy that the couple went with the second idea, which was a more classic and elegant pocket style invitation. This pocket incorporates a subtle sand metallic pocket with eggplant invite backing and dusk satin ribbon band. Everything about this pretty pocket is simple perfect — and a little purple too. Love it! Enjoy!

At Dusk
Skyline Evolution
In preparing to write the blog post tonight on Michelle and Thomas Baltimore skyline pocket, I started to think back on all the designs that I have done for other clients using the skyline and how it’s changed over the years. When Baltimore Bride published this design in their magazine last year, we saw a lot of interest in it, but recently, it’s become even more popular. And, brides are coming up with new buildings to include in the skyline…like Pier 5 Hotel and the Pier 6 Pavillion. I’m so excited by these changes and look forward to new skylines in the future. Oh, pssst…to all of those Annapolis brides…ask me about the skyline that includes St. Mary’s and the State House! Enjoy!

Chesapeake Cabana Breeze
Kylie and Josh are getting married in May at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge, Maryland. So, when Kylie said her colors were turquoise and ivory and she was incorporating palm fronds into the wedding, I was so excited!!! Kylie liked the horizontal pocket style and we switched up the wordings on the insert cards so they read down. The fonts, black text and border add to the elegant look that Kylie and Josh want for the big day! Kylie just picked these up from the studio and loved them! Yeah! Enjoy!

Vegas Baby!
Brandy and Nathan are having a destination wedding in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 25th. Brandy came to me with her Vegas color scheme of red, black and white, but didn’t want the overdone Vegas theme for her invitations. She wanted something that softly sang the Vegas part of their wedding, but didn’t hit the guests over the head with it! I just love how this turned out…the black swirl design printed on scarlet just adds a classy and dramatic touch to the invite — also, the alternating red and white cards are an unexpected surprise. Planet Hollywood…here they come! Enjoy!

No need for a witty title…
…because this invitation is just too pretty for words. This invite is a completely new design and it’s quickly become a favorite for all of us in the studio. The colors of grey and passion pink, along with the swirl design in the corners just came together so beautifully. This was one of those designs that looked good “on paper”, but even better in person. Danielle and Erik emailed us a few days after they picked up and said, “We LOVE our invitations! They are awesome!” Yep, that does it for me! Enjoy!
