Back on TV Again!

Today I had another exciting adventure on TV! WBFF Fox 45 Morning News invited me back for an interview about our wedding invitations and stationery. I was honored to be asked back for a third time…such a wonderful opportunity to share my designs and promote the upcoming Baltimore Bridal Show.

So, it was another early morning for me…at 5:45am, I headed to my studio in Annapolis to meet up with Ginger Grigsby. Ginger is my aesthetician and since I trust her with all things having to do with my face…I called her to do my make up! She made me look absolutely beautiful…complete with full faux eyelashes and all!

Then, Tom (my hubby and chauffeur) and I hopped in the car for the ride up to “TV Hill” in Baltimore. After a short wait in the lobby, I was taken back to the studio and during a commercial break, set up my samples, put on a microphone and was ready to roll by 8:48am! Patrice Harris and I said our “hello again’s” and off we went for a whirlwind few minutes of fun. By 9am we were back on the road and my 5 minutes of fame were just a shadow in the rear view mirror.

Although the days leading up to these appearances are stressful, I have to admit, they are just a wonderful opportunity for me and Allison Barnhill Designs. But, I admit, sleeping in until 7am tomorrow, sounds pretty good to me right now! Enjoy the pictures below. I hope to have the footage up on YouTube soon!

Sensational Seagrass

This invitation is perfect for a beach wedding! Amy and Bob are getting married at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and what a more perfect symbol than the beautiful, whispy seagrass. This is a flat, double layer invitations with a ribbon band and monogram tag. The ribbon and tag hold the response set behind the invitation and slides off easily to show the full invite panel. So classic and pretty…enjoy!

As Seen In…Brides Maryland

I am so excited that one of our fav couples is featured in Brides Maryland magazine. Kim and Jake were married last September at London Town Historic Gardens in Edgewater. We had the pleasure of designing their save the date, invitation, programs and table name cards. Their green and yellow color scheme with a touch of navy blue really gave this summer wedding a preppy feel. The awesome pictures were taken by Egomedia Photography. In the article below, check out our fan programs (bottom left of page 1) and our table name card (bottom left of page 2). Enjoy!

Sandy Swirls

Some of you might remember Jessica and Greg’s beautiful save the date, which included their “magazine worthy” engagement photo. Well, I was so excited to work on their invitations. Using their pretty moss and sand color scheme, this natural feeling invitation was accented with a delicate swirl detail along the bottom edge of the monogram tag and invite panel. Check out the cute titles for their insert cards too! Enjoy!

Long time, no post…

…but I’m making up for my absence by sharing a brand new style of invitation with you! Stephanie and Carlos wanted a pocket invitation, but they also loved our clearly couture designs too. Clearly couture uses a clear plastic sheet that is screen printed with patterns in a variety of colors. So, since we love to do something new…we designed this new style of pocket invite. I love how you can see the amethyst pocket through the clear plastic and how the ivory design pops off the page. And, check out the great way the insert cards fit into the pocket…with the vertical titles. Anyway, I could go on and on about this invite, so just take a look and enjoy!
