Celebrations at the Bay Wrap Up

I’m so excited about today’s show…mostly because I get to work with the best vendors in the area…and because the design we did with Intrigue Design and Decor for the show was just so happy and cheerful!  And, it was great meeting many new brides, grooms and families too.  What a day!

When Sarah told me that she wasn’t  putting together the design for her table (flowers, decor, anything…) until she saw my paper, I was stunned and honored.  Having a talented floral and decor designer take a cue from my paper designs to create a whole tablescape was just amazing.  And, I was so excited to see how it all came together.  We designed one place setting (menu and place card) for a traditional, whimsical and ultra-mod wedding.  And, really, when you put all three together on the same table, it still works.  Good tip for brides there – you can mix and match – as long as you have one connection throughout and in this case it was COLOR! :)

I’m sharing lots of pics below, but I couldn’t resist, because Christina and Mark from Hamilton Photography took so many awesome shots that I couldn’t narrow them down.  Really, you just want to jump into these pictures and swim…the colors are so vibrant and true to life.  Ah….love it!  Okay, I could gush all night and I probably should get some sleep soon!  I hope you enjoy these wonderful designs!

Love working with these two gals…Christina from Hamilton Photography (left) and Sarah from Intrigue Design & Decor (middle) {oh and me on the right}.

Style to the Aisle Wrap Up

When Michelle from Memorable Moments asked us to design signage for the Style to the Aisle event, we shouted an enthusiastic, “of course”! We had a blast designing the VIP chair signs, runway signage and bouquet signs. Gold screen printed plastic (that we call ‘clearly couture’) was the basis for all of our designs and the final look was just amazing…throw in some gold rhinestones and perfection! Special thanks to Elizabeth Ryan Photography for taking these awesome shots of our work at the event. Enjoy the beautiful pictures and be sure to check out their blog for more wrap up and pictures.

A pretty shot of the clearly couture plastic…and the pretty logo with rhinestone!

VIP Chair Signage!

Love this picture…bride coming down the aisle and there are our signs!

This girl is adorable and the perfect model for our runway signs!

Okay, I have to share these “rock”in’ rings that my friend Lerkia from Savvy Soirees and Modage gave out in the swag bags at the event. We designed the tags for her and she found the adorable rings!

For a Fall Fete

I have to share this save the date that Michelle and her mom picked up this past Saturday.  Michelle met with me before the holidays to talk about her save the date and invitations.  We dicussed a classic design with Fall colors, like copper, golds, ivory and chocolate.  For the save the date, Michelle and I discussed two ideas, but when she saw the sample, she wanted to see what it would look like with a gold leaf top layer and copper backing — with copper and chocolate text.  Wahoo!  I’m glad she mentioned it, because the final look is so beautiful!  And, when Michelle and her mom saw them in person, they loved them…so much so that her mom took a picture with Michelle holding it, right there in the studio!  So happy that we made both of them so happy!  Can’t wait to get working on the invites.  Enjoy!

The beginning of this year has been an award filled whirlwind that has left us dizzy and blushing! All of these wonderful accolades would not have been possible if it hadn’t been for our wonderful clients that have blessed us with phenomenal reviews of our work. We are so thankful to all of you who voted, wrote a review and just said thanks. We love what we do here at Allison Barnhill Designs and are so lucky to have the best clients in the world!

He’s a keeper!

Okay, I have to post this adorable baby announcement we designed for my little cousin Landon. Renee, aka Mommy, came to me with this amazing picture from JLowe Photos and wanted to tie in fishing to the theme of the announcement, since Jamie, Landon’s daddy, is a BIG fisherman! Love how this turned out! We used a textured folder that reminded me of fish scales for the outside and then I pulled in an adorable fish, fun font and a hook…what more could you want?! Landon’s picture really steals the show, so I didn’t have to do much…he’s definitely a keeper! Enjoy!
