This invite has a long story attached to it and I finally think it is time to share! So, last year, this really energetic and upbeat couple came into to meet with me. Sandra and Dimitri were so fun and excited about their wedding. Since Dimitri owns a palm tree landscaping company, they wanted their invite, for their Kiawah Island wedding, to represent their favorite palm tree! How cute! So, I got to design my very first Bismarck palm.

**Here is the bismarck palm in real life…and my design further down.**
So, when Sandra came in to pick up her save the dates, Allie realized that Sandra is actually Sandra Shaw, meterologist on WBAL – TV 11 in Baltimore. Surprise! :) We had one of those “moments” in the studio. And, we were so honored that she picked us to design her wedding stationery.
Since their wedding, Sandra and Dimitri have moved to Florida and she is now working for a news station down there. We miss her sunny smile in Maryland, but her invitation is just as bright! Hope you enjoy this new pocket. And, remember, picking something special that represents you is a great way to make your wedding invite unique and special…and makes a great story too!

Color us happy when we opened the newest issue of What’s Up Weddings (Spring/Summer 2011) and saw an article on invitations — with our work everywhere! And, then, we got to further into the magazine and saw one of our weddings featured too! We’re blushing…thanks so much What’s Up! Here are the shots from the magazine and a few details on which designs are ours. Enjoy!

** This ribbon band invite with brooch is our design…mailed in a box and makes a big statement! **

** Our designs: the long vertical Julie & Matt invite, passport to paradise and the blue and red USNA Chapel sketch invite **

** Our design: The red and black pocketfold with the chandelier and swirl design **
Real Wedding :: Amie & Virak

** We had the pleasure of designing Amie and Virak’s invites, and all of the wedding day paper, including programs, menus (shown in this picture), table numbers and thank you notes too! **

I originally photos of Karen and Rory’s wedding on Bayside Bride and knew I had to contact the wonderful photographer Kristen Gardner to get more photos, so we could share this wedding on our blog too! I met with Karen and her mom last year — so sweet, so happy and so ready to have the perfect, classic wedding. The black and ivory color scheme was brought out in all items we designed for Karen and Rory…and take note of how the black satin ribbon corners are repeated on the invite and wedding program. Love the classic simplicity of this wedding and so happy to share with you…enjoy!

So, I’ve been waiting patiently for MONTHS to post this invitation! I wanted to wait until Kristin and Blake were married on June 4th in Hawaii. And, I’m glad to finally say that I can post this amazing invitation for all to see. When Kristin came to meet with me earlier this year, she brought a few inspiration pictures and lots of ideas. Color me happy! She fell in love with our caribbean blue “tiles” patterned cardstock and knew that it had to be a big part of the design. The other thing she wanted was me to design a vintage looking hibiscus for the invitation. Well, when these ideas all came together, the entire studio was in awe of this beauty! And, I could keep gushing, but I think I’ll just share the pics instead. So congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Bloomfield…hope the wedding in paradise was magical. Enjoy!
