Ellie & Al :: The Details :: 11.06.10

It’s been awhile since I posted any real wedding photos.  These come courtesy of Michele Damon Events, who were the coordinators for Ellie and Al’s November wedding.    Ellie and Al met with me and saw an invitation on my shelf that they really fell in love with and then all of their wedding day accessories followed the same style from there.  Definitely a beach/tropical feel to this wedding!  Take a look at these beautiful pictures of their menus, favors, table numbers and place cards.  Enjoy!

Celebrations at the Bay Wrap Up

I’m so excited about today’s show…mostly because I get to work with the best vendors in the area…and because the design we did with Intrigue Design and Decor for the show was just so happy and cheerful!  And, it was great meeting many new brides, grooms and families too.  What a day!

When Sarah told me that she wasn’t  putting together the design for her table (flowers, decor, anything…) until she saw my paper, I was stunned and honored.  Having a talented floral and decor designer take a cue from my paper designs to create a whole tablescape was just amazing.  And, I was so excited to see how it all came together.  We designed one place setting (menu and place card) for a traditional, whimsical and ultra-mod wedding.  And, really, when you put all three together on the same table, it still works.  Good tip for brides there – you can mix and match – as long as you have one connection throughout and in this case it was COLOR! :)

I’m sharing lots of pics below, but I couldn’t resist, because Christina and Mark from Hamilton Photography took so many awesome shots that I couldn’t narrow them down.  Really, you just want to jump into these pictures and swim…the colors are so vibrant and true to life.  Ah….love it!  Okay, I could gush all night and I probably should get some sleep soon!  I hope you enjoy these wonderful designs!

Love working with these two gals…Christina from Hamilton Photography (left) and Sarah from Intrigue Design & Decor (middle) {oh and me on the right}.

Reminds me of summer…

Today’s weather and this invitation just scream “summer”!!! Theresa and Thomas are getting married on in May, on the water, here in Maryland. Theresa met with me a few months ago and knew she wanted to use a tiffany blue color, but didn’t know what to use with it…I suggested chocolate brown…natural, coordinates perfectly with the tiffany and natural raffia too. She has since told me how much she loves the combination and has used the colors all throughout her wedding. I really love how this beachy invitation came together and love these pics of it too! Enjoy!

Table Fun for Tasting

As some of you know and could probably tell from our posts, we love The Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and provide stationery for many of their brides and grooms. We were thrilled when Teresa and Erin asked us to design table numbers, place cards and gift tags for their upcoming tasting event. I’m sure a lot of you who follow my blog are going to this event, so please act surprised when you see everything there…but I just couldn’t wait to share, because they are too fun! Love this color scheme and if you are a bride going for this look, please let me know because I would LOVE to design an invitation to match! Enjoy!

Shara and Blair – 08.21.09

So, I decided to post about Shara and Blair’s wedding, which took place this past weekend, with some “not-so-pro” pictures. Shara and Blair are family friends and so I had my uncle, aunt and cousins on hand to get shots of the big day, which took place at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.
In addition to their invitation, I designed their table name and place cards for the reception. I just loved the feel of their wedding and heard that guests were stealing the table names to take home and frame…especially, if they lived at the beach in which the table was named! Go figure! Congrats to Shara and Blair…enjoy!
