Wrap Up :: Chesapeake Bay Beach Club Bridal Show :: January 7, 2012

Okay, I have to admit, this is my favorite show of the season!  Don’t get me wrong, I love all the bridal  shows, since I get to reconnect with my favorite vendors and meet wonderful brides-to-be.  But, the “beach club show” is just so much fun, because I have the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with phenomenal vendors to create a styled room to inspire brides!  This year, I was so happy to be back with Cynthia from Flower Follies!

Now, some of you know that I met Cynthia 10 years ago when I was planning my wedding…and she did my flowers!!! She is one of the sweetest gals on the planet, not to mention, she is just so freakin’ talented. Her “small shop” mentality means that each bride gets the PERFECT flowers and design for their big day. She loves vintage, feathers and rhinestones…likes to use unexpected flowers in amazing ways…and really, you can identify her work anywhere!

I love that she asked for me to be in her room this year and that we got to design a perfectly modern, nautical theme! We wanted the look to be clean and crisp – mostly white with pops of yellow and unexpected punches of cobalt blue. K&B Bridal was added to our room and came in with the great idea of incorporating the grey chevron print into the design and I just LOVE how it completed the design perfectly.

Hope you enjoy all of these photos from the day. Please note that the majority of these photos are from my phone camera…so not professional (unless noted). But,Kimberly Brooke Photography took lots of pro pics…and so did Mark from Hamilton Photography. Hope to share those too soon!!!

I think the best feeling of the day was watching so many brides take pictures of the table and of course, those adorable hanging mason jars with pinwheels!!! Thanks to all who came, saw and loved!!

The Compass Club

We had two brides choose a very similar (and popular) design for their invitations…and they were delivered during the same week too! So, Erin and Lindsay are brides in the Compass Club. There were a few variations between the two invitations, which highlights why having a custom stationery designer is so great! You can make the invitation design unique to you and your wedding day!

Erin’s invitation has a navy backing with ivory top layer and rope tie. Lindsay chose to use a panel with a pocket on the back for her insert cards and she had a white pearl top. We also added the coordinates of the Annapolis Yacht Club below the compass and tied it with the same nautical rope knot. Enjoy!

Pear-ed Accessories

Mandee and Sean originally came to us months ago for save the dates and some of you might remember their awesome pocketfold invitation too. Well, time flies and in just a little over a week, their big day will be here! We were so excited to be do Mandee and Sean’s wedding day accessories, which included programs, menus, table numbers, bar menus and even a wish card poem. Of course, they are all adorned with the perfect “pear” monogram we designed for their invite. I just love the colors, the design and the mod look with all lowercase letters. Too cool! AND, to top off the wonderful wedding, their photographer is the phenomenal Jen Lowe. I can’t wait to see the detail shots from this wedding. I will be sure to share! Enjoy!

Positively Programs

Eek! I forgot to blog yesterday…so, today, I’m going to share a lot of program designs, to make up for my absent mindedness! A lot of brides are always asking what type of programs we do and looking for ideas on what text to include. Over the past month, we have had a lot of wedding accessories orders. Hopefully, these pictures will help you decide what program you might want us to design for you!
The first design is a single layer program imprinted with text on the front only. This is perfect for a destination or small wedding — or even a non-church wedding. We still can incorporate your colors and design elements.
The next program is a folder style. This program is a folded sheet of cardstock imprinted on the four sides with your program text. A perfect program for almost every wedding!

This third program is one of our most popular — the fan program. Perfect for outdoor, summer weddings! The front has your ceremony details. The back has the wedding party and thank you. We incorporate your colors into cardstock and ribbon bow!

Finally, our newest design, is a folder style program with an insert page and has a monogram tag with ribbon bow to close. I LOVE this new design and can’t wait to do it again!!
