Real Wedding :: Jessica & Chris :: New Year’s Eve 2011

New Year’s Eve is always a magical night…the parties, the fireworks, champagne and tuxedos! So, what better night than December 31st, to have your wedding…you get all of the above, plus a hubby (or wife) too! This year we had three couples getting married on New Year’s Eve, so I was over the moon to get these great photos from Emily Chastain Photography.

Jessica and Chris got married at the Westin Hotel in Annapolis. We started working with Jessica months before the big day on her black and white pocket style invitation. She really knew exactly what she wanted, even at our first meeting, and we just rolled through the design process so easily. With a classic black pocket, black swirls patterned paper and a modern monogram design, their invitation really set the tone for this beautiful wedding. We also designed matching stationery for the big day, including menus, escort cards and table numbers too.

Hope you enjoy these amazing photos of our work and this beautiful couple too!

The Year in Photos…2011

I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures of our work from 2011. This has been an amazing year filled with styled shoots, collaborations with great vendors, new designs, open houses, lots of shows, hundreds of brides and more cardstock than I even want to count. So, without further words…I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.  Can’t wait for 2012!

Gabriela & Woodney :: Real Wedding

So, I have to say that working with Gabriela and Woodney was a wonderful experience.  Although we never got to meet in person, we “talked” via email for over a year and after working on their save the dates, invites and wedding day stationery, I was over the moon to receive the link to the blog post featuring their wedding photos by Jeri Houseworth Photography.

This couple is absolutely adorable together!  You can help but see the love pouring off of them in waves.  Seeing everything come together for them on their big day was amazing.  I love it all…from the parasols to the shutters holding the escort cards…ah, beautiful!

Enjoy these pics of the items that we designed for the big day, along with some cute couple shots!  Oh, and be sure to check out that full blog post above by Jeri…you will fall in love too!  Enjoy!

Christmas in July

For this last day of July, I wanted to share some amazing photos and work by Intrigue Design & Decor and Elizabeth Ryan Photography…oh, and Allison Barnhill Designs too!!  A few weeks ago, Intrigue asked us to create some special menus and place cards for their Christmas in July event at Historic Inns in Annapolis.  I had the best time designing the paper for this shoot and LOVE how the pictures turned out.  I was dreaming of snowflakes and hot chocolate!  So, when the holidays roll around, please contact Intrigue to decorate your home, office or for a party.  Enjoy these pics and I dare you to not start singing…chestnuts roasting on an open fire…jack frost nipping at your nose….

Check out that handmade button that I made for these favor boxes…obsessed with the button!

Megan & Chris :: Real Wedding :: Paradise!

I’m so excited to share these pictures from a gorgeous real wedding in paradise! Megan and Chris were married on May 14th in Playa de Carmen, Mexico. We had the pleasure of designing their invitation and also, all of their wedding day paper too! Megan was one of those brides who knew what she wanted and it really helped move along the process. She was savvy on colors and patterns and was very involved in ensuring her vision came to life.

We started with their formal invitation that had a charcoal grey theme with brocade patterned cardstock. The paper took a fun turn for the wedding day, where we used the same brocade pattern cardstock, but in a bright yellow-orange color. All of the wedding day elements, just came together perfectly…from the table numbers, to the place card tags that were tied onto starfish, to my personal favorite, the recipe booklet for a favor! I’m still droolling over the recipes in this book…and have to admit…I stole one for myself.

So, feel free to drool over these pictures too…of Megan and Chris’ wedding in paradise! Enjoy!
