Spotlight on {Chevron}

I was at an event the other night and started talking to a fellow wedding vendor about how popular the chevron print [aka zig-zag pattern] has become for weddings. It’s such a versatile print — perfect for modern and nautical designs too. A little over a year ago, I had the pleasure of designing a room at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club with some fabulous vendors – Flower Follies, K&B Bridal and captured by Kimberly Brooke Photography. I still look back on these photos and feel the use of the chevron print was absolutely perfect. Vendor Highlight :: MODE Events

Today, I’m so excited to share an amazing vendor with you…MODE Events. Now, some of you know the man behind MODE, Brandon Casey. After spending many years planning amazing events at The Tremont in Baltimore, he decided to branch out on his own. I was over the moon when he contacted me to do some paper for a few styled shoots he was planning. Real Wedding :: Allison and Brad

Yesterday, I shared this wedding as a feature in Wedding 411 The Magazine. Today, I’m excited to share some detailed shots from Allison and Brad’s wedding day, including the paper we designed. I just loved the soft color scheme of silver, white and dusty lavender. The classic details were highlighted with fun accents, like lavender rhinestones. And, I absolutely adore their candle apple favors…how sweet it is to be loved by you! Awh! All these details came together to create a beautiful day for Allison and Brad. The Hoyle-Royal Wedding!

I’m so excited to share all of the paper we design for Jessica and James! Why? Because I have to admit that I loved this wedding…the classic ivory with pops of royal blue! And, how can you not love that Jess went from the last name Hoyle to Royal and they used royal blue as their wedding color. Really?! Yep!! I’m not sure if that was planned or not, but it doesn’t matter, because it is just so cute! The amazing Kimberly Brooke Photography took the wonderful photos of all the paper from the wedding and I snapped a few shots of the invite too! Enjoy!!!

Real Wedding :: Jessica & Chris :: New Year’s Eve 2011

New Year’s Eve is always a magical night…the parties, the fireworks, champagne and tuxedos! So, what better night than December 31st, to have your wedding…you get all of the above, plus a hubby (or wife) too! This year we had three couples getting married on New Year’s Eve, so I was over the moon to get these great photos from Emily Chastain Photography.

Jessica and Chris got married at the Westin Hotel in Annapolis. We started working with Jessica months before the big day on her black and white pocket style invitation. She really knew exactly what she wanted, even at our first meeting, and we just rolled through the design process so easily. With a classic black pocket, black swirls patterned paper and a modern monogram design, their invitation really set the tone for this beautiful wedding. We also designed matching stationery for the big day, including menus, escort cards and table numbers too.
