New Year’s Eve is always a magical night…the parties, the fireworks, champagne and tuxedos! So, what better night than December 31st, to have your wedding…you get all of the above, plus a hubby (or wife) too! This year we had three couples getting married on New Year’s Eve, so I was over the moon to get these great photos from Emily Chastain Photography.
Jessica and Chris got married at the Westin Hotel in Annapolis. We started working with Jessica months before the big day on her black and white pocket style invitation. She really knew exactly what she wanted, even at our first meeting, and we just rolled through the design process so easily. With a classic black pocket, black swirls patterned paper and a modern monogram design, their invitation really set the tone for this beautiful wedding. We also designed matching stationery for the big day, including menus, escort cards and table numbers too.
Hope you enjoy these amazing photos of our work and this beautiful couple too!

What can I say? I have been delinquent in my blogging duties. It’s just been such a busy late summer season! Whew! But, the good news is that now, I have lots of good things to share with you…including new invitation designs, real weddings and a big announcement coming this week!
First, I want to share with you this pretty invitation that we designed for Ashley and Justin, who were married at the Bolger Center in Potomac, Maryland on August 27th. Some might remember that day — Hurricane Irene was in town. I haven’t spoken to Ashley since the wedding, but I hope it was a beautiful day, despite the weather!
For their invitation, their antique blue and orange color combination was used in a subtle way — along with a beautiful monogram. And, check out the cute titles she used for a few of her insert cards. It’s a fun way to add a special touch to the invite. Hope you enjoy this invite and stay tuned this week for much, much more!!

This morning, I had another appearance on WBFF Fox 45 morning news to share some fun style of invitations and promote the Baltimore Bridal Show this Sunday. In the past, I’ve stressed over these two minute interviews, but I think experience was key this morning! It was so nice seeing so many familiar faces…my meet and greet contact, the camera operators and of course Patrice and Megan and the rest of the on screen crew at Fox. So, I knew what to expect (perhaps 4th time is a charm) and was ready, mic-ed up and on camera in no time. Patrice and I reviewed the five invites that I brought today, talked about some trends and wrapped up with our $500 giveaway! Here are so pics from the interview (thanks to my supportive hubby for taking them for me) and a video clip will follow soon!

So, some of you may know that I have a “thing” with Sugarloaf Mountain. It could be that they have a great winery, or that I am always passing by it for a getaway weekend, or that I did the most amazing styled shoot there this past Fall. Either way, Sugarloaf is near and dear to my heart, so I was so excited to design the invite for Katie and Ian’s wedding at Strong Mansion on Sugarloaf Mountain. Their colors were so bright and summery…light blue and yellow with a touch of meadow green…and a decidely garden theme. We loved incorporating these pretty little peonies into the design…how can you not love peonies!! Enjoy the pics…oh and I included a cute shot of the couple too! We just happend to have used this photo for adorable thank you notes! Enjoy!
